ILLUMINATED CEILING

Light held
inside matter

Natural mica, layered within architectural glass, creates bespoke panels whose color and mineral luster shift with the light

Every sheet is composed by hand, giving architecture a surface that is luminous, irregular, and never identical

Mica transforms light

InterMica is laminated architectural glass made by sealing thin layers of natural mica between sheets of glazing or mirrored surfaces

The mineral catches, bends, and releases light. Its translucence and shifting luster make every panel feel part gemstone, part atmosphere

Developed through a patent-pending process where applicable

Light becomes structure

InterMica moves between architecture, furniture, and lighting while remaining unmistakably material

A mineral surface at architectural scale

Doors, partitions, walls, façades, ceilings, and vitrines can be developed around the mineral’s natural variation

The glass can be transparent, mirrored, colored, illuminated, or fabricated into shaped panels

From architecture to object

The material can be tuned to the scale of a room, a surface, or a single source of light

The material can move from doors, partitions, walls, façades, ceilings, and vitrines to tables, mirrors, panels, pendants, sconces, lanterns, and sculptural light

The mineral becomes the diffuser

When illuminated, the mica reads in layers. Flecks sharpen, larger cleaves glow, and the surrounding glass carries the light beyond the source

No two panels behave alike

Natural variation is part of the material. Color, texture, inclusions, and the distribution of mica shift from panel to panel
