In Medieval manuscripts, representations of the starry skies were a common motif. Mankind, trapped forever in the sublunary sphere, could only gaze at the heavens in wonder. Now, thanks to unHeim’s “Celestial“ carpet series, the stars have been literally brought down to earth, bejeweled in a dazzling array of Swarovski crystals. Walking on this carpet is like flying through time and space immemorial.
